About the Call
The National Campaign, with support from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and in collaboration with Healthy Teen Network, has been working to increase action on this important issue in states and communities. This past April, teams from eight states (Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan Oklahoma and Virginia) that included public and private sector leaders working in teen pregnancy prevention, child welfare, social services, and juvenile justice met to collaborate on the goal of reducing teen pregnancy among youth in foster care. Each state has created its own plan and action steps to address teen pregnancy among youth in foster care.
This national conference call will feature three state team leaders who will highlight their work and answer questions about their successes, the challenges that they have met and the strategies they are pursuing to tackle this issue. Speakers on the call will include:
