President Obama and Fatherhood
White House release

What makes you a man is not the ability to have a child - it's the courage to raise one. . . . Of all the rocks upon which we build our lives, we are reminded today that family is the most important. And we are called to recognize and honor how critical every father is to that foundation.

~ President Barack Obama

Welcome to The National Campaign's new page dedicated to males. We chose this time around Father’s Day to launch this page because of the heightened attention to father’s and their role in the development of children. The National Campaign is committed to ensuring that every child is born into a loving, two-parent family and we accomplish this goal through the prevention of teen and unplanned pregnancy. A father is an important part of this formula. Data supports the premise that a father’s presence in the life of a teenager, decreases the likelihood of a teen pregnancy.

In the coming months, we will add to this page more data, reports, and stories that emphasize the role males play in pregnancy planning and prevention.
