The National Campaign Joins Forces with the Dibble Fund to Provide Teens Healthy Relationship Information

(Washington, DC) - The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with the Dibble Fund for Marriage Education, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, and Public Strategies, Inc in an ongoing effort to help teens develop the knowledge and skills necessary to build strong relationships.

Over the next five years, as lead grantee, the Dibble Fund plans to educate over 100,000 teens across the country about healthy relationships and marriage. The Dibble Fund for Marriage Education is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people learn skills which enable successful relationships and marriages. They also publish relationship skills materials and curriculum.

In support of the Dibble Fund's objectives—and based on research with teens themselves— the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy will develop messages designed specifically for young people about healthy relationships. The Campaign will work with partners in both "old" and "new" media to disseminate these messages in innovative and cost-effective ways.

"We look forward to reaching teens with constructive messages about what it takes to have a healthy relationship now, and a healthy marriage in the future for those who choose it, and to underscore the value in delaying early pregnancy and parenting."

The joint project is made possible by a federal funding award under the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant (#90-FE-0024).
